The Florida Republican Bill would make Trump’s orders permanent for the “domination” of the United States in the key industry

First on the fox: A Florida Republican Congressman seeks to encode several executive actions by President Donald Trump on domestic energy production through legislative actions on Monday.

Representative Byron Donalds, who has been endorsed by Trump to replace Florida’s governor, Ron Desantis, introduced the “reinforced American nuclear energy” to try to encode four of the president’s executive actions related to the promotion of production and nuclear energy use in the United States. Trump signed the orders at the end of the last month.

On May 23, Trump signed four executive orders to accelerate the development and deployment of nuclear energy in the United States.

One of these orders, the “ unfolded advanced technologies of the Nuclear National Security ”, directs the army to build a nuclear reactor ” in a domestic military base or installation ” on September 30, 2028. The order also directs the Energy Secretary to establish artificial intelligence centers for the next 30 months. Finally, in addition to these measures and others, the broad executive order directs at least 20 new agreements to pursue the country to pursue at least 20 new agreements International.

In the meantime, another of the orders that Donalds legislation seeks to encode the Secretaries of Defense, Transport and the Director of the Management and Budget Office to prepare a full report within 240 days of the signing of the order. The last two orders of Trump, which Donalds wants to codify, aim to reduce the regulatory loads that surround the production of nuclear energy.

The first of the two aims to reform the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to help accelerate national nuclear energy production. The order aims to abandon what is described as the excessive NRC precaution that has made it difficult to grow nuclear energy in the United States.

The Second Nuclear Energy Directive focused on Trump’s regulation aims to reform the evidence of the Energy Department’s nuclear reactor, to try to accelerate the development of nuclear power plants. For example, the order requires that the Energy Department officials review internal procedures to ensure that new reactors can work in two years after the builders’ application to build it.

Nuclear energy safety risks have long been a debate among energy policy makers in Washington. Part of Trump’s orders is to speed up some of the security regulations that his administration claims that he has suffered the production of domestic nuclear energy.

However, nuclear energy experts, such as Ernest Moniz, an Energy Secretary of the Obama era and nuclear physicist, said that Trump’s move to reform the NRC could be problematic.
